You can already hear the gentle lapping waters of the Ardèche, which flow just a few metres from your pitch. You’ve dreamt all night of this delightful descent that you enjoy doing every year as a family.
Today’s the big day, so you get up on the right foot to make the coffee, whose spicy aroma should eventually wake up the rest of your family.

One of the campsite’s major attractions is the direct access to the river. No need to take the car, the canoes are already set to leave from the beach.
The entire family is here for the briefing and instructions. You simply have to place your things in the waterproof containers, and you’re off for a day’s descent. Head for the famous Pont d’Arc!

The family has been paddling for nearly an hour, the landscapes of the gorge pass by before your enchanted eyes, and the feeling of completeness wins you over, with the effort which you start to feel in your arms.
The water is fresh but the heat proves scorching, and you tell yourself that a little turbulence will do the world of good for the leader who sets the pace…whoops he’s in the water!

The canoeists have a smile on their lips, but it is high time to satisfy their hunger. This shaded strip of sand will do the job perfectly for your picnic.
The view over the cliffs which rise up takes your breath away…but not your appetite! Ardèche cheeses and cooked pork meats are on the menu, and fruit for dessert to set off again packed with vitamins.

You’ll love this slightly technical trip through the rapids. This means that the famous Pont d’Arc is not far off. It is always a magical moment when discovering this natural monument, sculpted by erosion over time.
Time for a good swim, and for the most foolhardy, to jump off the rocks into the clear waters, which are reflecting this majestic arch magnificently.

Time to draw alongside the bank. Everyone is tired but smiles light up their faces, delighted to have spent such a good day on the water, surrounded by nature’s wonders.
The minibus is here to take you back to the campsite, and this evening, for sure, you won’t suffer from insomnia but you risk paddling a little in your dreams. 😉
