A hot chocolate, pain au chocolat and glass of orange juice, and you’re in the car heading for Pierrelatte, only 45 minutes from La Plage Fleurie.

Here no less than 700 animals live in semi-liberty: crocodiles, lizards, giant tortoises, snakes, anacondas, iguanas but also tropical fish and birds.
You finish the leisurely, educational trail in the botanical garden. In additional to numerous animals, you’ve seen amazing exotic plants, both fragrant and fruit trees.
For lunch, you can picnic in the semi-covered picnic area, off the site, enjoy a hot or cold dish at the “Croc Délices” snack bar, or have a sandwich at the “Snack’o’suchus” sandwich bar.
You’ve planned a small surprise for your two pre-teens. The entire family meets up for an epic escape game with Darius, the peculiar driver on the Nile.
You climb aboard a slightly strange bus amidst bags from the 20s, old postcards, a 60s wireless and a vast number of out-of-the-ordinary items. Can you open the bus doors in time?
After all your adventures, you recover your emotions over a lovely ice cream at the “Crocotier, Paillote glacée” ice cream seller.
Then a short trip to the shop to look at the cuddly toys, recycled items made of plastic, books and a full range of “Made in France” products.
Back at the campsite, just in time for the boys to join their friends for a game of beach volleyball by the river.
In the meantime, you go shopping at the mini-market for dinner this evening.
The Croque-Monsieurs (ham and cheese toasted sandwiches) are ready, the children in the shower, you get yourselves a glass of wine and smile about this fantastic family day.
