A stay at La Plage Fleurie campsite in Vallon Pont d’Arc is the chance to go out and discover the wonderful sites of the Gorges de l’Ardèche (Ardèche gorges) and the Vivarais region.

As numerous as they are varied, these iconic sites of the département are set out for you on the Agence de Développement Touristique de l’Ardèche (the Ardèche tourism development agency) website, accessible here.

Amongst the major sites located in the vicinity of the campsite, is the Caverne du Pont d’Arc opened in 2015. It quickly attracted the public, since the opening. The replica of the Chauvet cave, has now become one of the most visited attractions in the Ardèche!

Another exceptional cave is the Grotte de la Madeleine (a cave formation), with imposing dimensions and amazing underground galeries. This cave can be found on the famous tourist ‘route des Gorges’ in the Ardèche, in the commune of Saint Remèze and only a few kilometres from Vallon Pont d’Arc and La Plage Fleurie campsite.

The Grand Site (a national conservation and management designation) of Aven d’Orgnac, and its gigantic underground rooms, is also one of the must-see sites of the south of the Vivarais region. The Cité de la Préhistoire (a prehistoric museum), next to the Grand Site of Aven d’Orgnac, enables us to understand the everyday life of our ancestors from the Middle Paleolithic era up to the Iron Age…

Located in Pierrelatte, south of Montélimar, and to the east of Vallon Pont d’Arc, La Ferme aux Crocodiles invites you to discover the fascinating world of reptiles! More than 400 animals live in giant greenhouses and the outside landscaped gardens.
