Ready for the adventure?

Waking up gently on this beautiful summer day, you savor a steaming coffee on the terrace, lulled by the sound of the river, as the Ardèche countryside slowly awakens.

The children emerge from their sleep, still a little ruffled. Breakfast: crusty bread, Ardèche honey, apricot jam, and a large bowl of hot chocolate. The conversation is already turning to knights, dragons… and dungeons. The day promises to be memorable.

On guard, valiant knights!

Arrive in the charming village of Labastide-de-Virac. Stroll through its cobbled streets towards the majestic Château des Roure. And so the adventure begins!

From the moment you enter, you’re completely immersed. You discover the medieval castle, its eventful history, and its impressive architecture. Children gaze up at the massive towers, awestruck.

The tour takes you to the silkworm farm, home to real silkworms: fascinating for young and old alike! Then comes the moment to climb onto the ramparts. Up there, the panoramic view of the Ardèche hills is breathtaking.

Battalion resupply!

After so many exciting moments, we returned to the village for lunch on a shaded terrace. On the menu: Ardèche-style caillettes (a type of sausage) and a fresh salad for you, steak and fries for the children. All accompanied by a glass of local wine for the adults and homemade lemonade for the little ones.

The conversation often revolved around the ghost that haunts the castle’s dungeons. Will you dare to go down there…?

Mini knights and maxi laughter!

Head to the medieval park for the entertainment.
The firing of the great trebuchet resounds with a spectacular roar. The children’s eyes widen as they watch the medieval machine spring into action. A little further on, the blacksmith’s workshop crackles with activity: hammer, anvil, and sparks bring the metal to life before their captivated eyes.

Then comes their favorite part: the candy-throwing contest! Guaranteed laughs as they run to collect the sweets flung onto the grass.
And suddenly… the long-awaited moment: the dragon awakens! This original and humorous show delights the whole family. The children are torn between thrills and fascination.

Before leaving, you muster your courage to descend into the dungeons. In the dim light, a mysterious ghost seems to lurk… Thrills guaranteed!

We lay down our arms!

Back at the campsite. After a refreshing shower, it’s time for a convivial aperitif: Ardèche sausage, local goat cheese, tapenade, and fresh bread. The children devour it, reminiscing about their favorite moment at the castle.

For dinner, you spontaneously set up a large family table under the stars. For dessert: Ardèche blueberry tart or homemade ice cream from the village.

The children quickly fall asleep, their heads filled with images of knights and fortified towers.
